My name is Mimi Davis, and I’ve been homeschooling my four exquisite children for about 17 years now. In the course of my homeschooling journey, I have encountered many people who are interested, horrified, or intrigued by the choices our family has made over the years, and most of those folks have asked me questions. After answering the same questions hundreds of times, I decided to write a book to help uninformed relatives, neighbors, acquaintances, and professionals understand the basics of homeschooling better.
Since it was designed to be given to a wide variety of people in a host of situations, I decided to use all-inclusive language, and tried to make it helpful to people I might encounter in the course of my life. However, I am a committed Christian, and this worldview does come out in my book, as it does in every aspect of my life. I am perfectly comfortable reading reference books written by authors of a variety of faiths, so I assume those who do not share my faith would be willing to read my book as well. I have found this to be the case, and have gotten a chance to meet many wonderful people as a result.
This webpage is dedicated to helping newer homeschoolers learn more about homeschooling, veteran homeschoolers renew their vision, and interested non-homeschoolers learn more about this increasingly common practice. I hope you find it helpful as well!
